Zeus sits above the six-by-five SpinBit grid and drops multiplier orbs whenever he feels like it, and Kiwi players have kept him busy. That is the whole pitch, and it has kept Gates of Olympus in the top row of our SpinBit lobby since the day we added it. Pragmatic Play released it in February 2021 and it has not left the popular shelf since.
| Specification | Value | What it changes for you |
|---|---|---|
| Studio | Pragmatic Play | Released 25 February 2021 |
| Grid | 6 reels, 5 rows | Thirty positions per drop |
| Pay mechanic | Scatter pays, 8+ symbols | Position on the grid does not matter |
| Return to player | 96.50% default | The long-run average across millions of rounds |
| Volatility | High | Long quiet runs, then a big one |
| Bet range | $0.20 to $125 | Wide enough for any bankroll |
| Maximum win | 5,000x the bet | $1,000 from a $0.20 spin at the ceiling |
| Multiplier orbs | 2x to 500x | Added together, then applied to the round |
| Free spins | 15, from 4 scatters | Retriggers add 5 more, with no cap |
On the SpinBit version there are no lines to count. Eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid form a win, which is why a cluster in the top corner pays exactly the same as one running through the middle. Winning symbols vanish, the rest tumble down, new ones fill the gaps, and the round keeps going until nothing new forms.
That tumble chain is where the game earns its reputation. One drop can pay four or five times before it settles, and every multiplier orb that lands during the chain joins the same total. Two orbs at 100x and 250x on the same round do not multiply each other; they add to 350x and that figure hits the round’s win.
At SpinBit, four or more scatters open 15 free spins, and this is where Gates of Olympus changes character. During the feature, every orb that lands is added to a running total that carries from spin to spin instead of resetting. A modest 20x early on is still sitting there when a heavy tumble arrives on the twelfth spin.
| Scatters landed | What you get | During the feature | Retrigger |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 in base play | Nothing yet | — | — |
| 4 or more | 15 free spins | Running multiplier total | 3+ scatters add 5 spins |
| Ante bet on | Double scatter chance | Costs 25% more per spin | Same feature |
| Bonus buy | Feature straight away | Costs 100x the bet | Same feature |
Two side doors exist. The ante bet raises your stake by a quarter and doubles how often scatters appear. The buy feature skips the wait for 100x the bet. Both are optional, both change the shape of a session rather than its long-run return, and both are available on Gates of Olympus at SpinBit.
The hit frequency published for this SpinBit title is 28.82%, so a little under one spin in three returns something. The feature triggers roughly once in 448 spins on average, and the 5,000x ceiling is a one-in-718,391 event. Those figures describe averages across an enormous sample, not a schedule, and no spin remembers the one before it.
Because SpinBit pokies contribute 100% towards bonus wagering, Gates of Olympus is a sensible place to work through a welcome bonus. Keep an eye on the $20 maximum stake while a bonus is live, and remember that the ante bet raises your total stake, which counts towards that ceiling.
The title runs in demo mode in our lobby, so you can watch the tumbles and see how the orb total builds without putting anything down. Demo play shows you the mechanics and the pace; what it cannot show is how the volatility feels on a real balance, and that is the part the RTP figure never captures. When you are ready, sign up at SpinBit and Zeus is two clicks away.
